Denver Newborn Photography Session  

This family just a JOY to photograph during their recent Denver newborn photography session. With the newest addition to this sweet and kind family, they are now officially, a party of five!

When a new mom reaches out to me, they typically are concerned about getting photos before the two week time frame. Little Isla (LOVE her name) was already two weeks when we spoke and mom was concerned about timing, but I wasn’t. I am a firm believer of taking photographs when the family is ready. It is typically true that when the baby is young, they are a big more sleepy but there is something I just love about those awake shots also. Isla (like many newborns) seemed to know something was going on with all the commotion around her. She was looking around and interacting a bit- such fun to see in a newborn.

Of course, part of the commotion may have had to do with her two big brothers hanging around. Both boys were so eager to help out and loved digging through my stash of blankets and wraps. They even helped pick out a few for us to use.  I enjoy having “helpers” and it’s always fun to capture some of these moments in images.  It’s nice to think of it as a bit of a sneaky way to show how much the siblings already care for their littlest member of the family- now a party of five.

I think you will notice in the images below just how gorgeous this home is. What is pretty incredible about the family’s home is that it was completely rehabbed by dad. Considering I can barely hang a photo straight, to say I was impressed is an understatement.  The home was filled with so many unique touches, big windows and mid-century decor, it truly was a dream to photograph.
