Denver Newborn 

Denver Newborn in Wash Park:  When mom asked me to take photos of their newborn in Wash Park, I was thrilled! newborns are my favorite to photograph but first borns hold a special place in my heart. I enjoy seeing the new parents tend to their little one. Many times, mom and dad don’t stop staring–it’s really sweet. What really struck me while spending time with this family was how confident and comfortable mom and dad were with their little one. It took me back when I was a new mom- very nervous and anxious.

A sweet family brings home their newborn in Wash Park:

Mom mentioned she wasn’t sure about the lighting in their home. However, with my camera gear that is sensitive to light, it was not a problem at all. Like many sessions, I enjoy shooting all over the house- we spent time in the living area and nursery.

Since Blakely was 2 weeks old when I photographed her.  I had a hunch she would be a bit more alert than most. I love when babies are awake so we can capture their sweet, bright eyes!

Pepper is a huge part of their family so we made sure to get some photos of Blakely with her fur-sister 🙂

Mom mentioned that Blakely always does this little thing with her pinky finger. She sure does! How cute is this?!

When the baby sleeps it is a great chance to use my macro (close up) filters to get those shots that focus on the tiniest details.

Though I do photograph a lot of newborn babies, not all sessions are the same. And isn’t that wonderful! Each baby and family is different as well as the home setting.
