giving back a senior session
For the past few years, by very talented friend and fellow photographer, Willy Wilson, organizes area photographers to photograph a special group of seniors. I have been giving back a senior session for the past few years. It really is a highlight for me each year. Willy Wilson has developed a special relationship with a school for teen moms. We photograph these bright students and their littles. It’s truly such a special afternoon to see the seniors’ hard work and determination come together.
Sharing the moment
Like many seniors, this group has so much support not just from their school, but also their parents. Many seniors bring their little ones to school and work after school. Needless to say, the students have worked so hard for themselves and their families
This giving back session is no different than other senior sessions. There is so much joy and excitement around the day. It is also the perfect chance for the seniors to take a moment to see all it took to get to where they are.
When do senior sessions take place?
I love that many of the graduates wore their cap and gown– such a fun prop. This session took place about a month before the actual graduation date. It’s great to schedule senior sessions before the actual graduation– it would be too busy to do so on the actual day of graduation.
