Fun Family Photos in Denver…

So when I spoke with Diana, the mom, a few months ago, she told me it had been far too long since their last family photo session. Though I love seeing clients year after year, I especially love it when families are long overdue for having tangible treasures in the form of family photographs.

Having known this family for a bit, I knew we would be having a lot of fun together which always results in great photos.

Just how do we have fun at our session?

You’re probably wondering how exactly we have a relaxed and fun time at our session together. Well, before our session, I like to get an idea of the kids’ personalities. Knowing their interests helps me relate to them. Another way to help the kids feel relaxed is when I’m with families, I prefer to capture the kids by themselves. I have found that when parents are around, the kids sometimes will hold back a bit. We chat about their interests (and luckily I am well-versed in Minecraft, trains, and princesses), maybe play some silly games and then just let their personalities shine through!
