the new newborn session
As we all have seen, the current pandemic has impacted our lives immensely. Safety continues to be a top priority when I am photographing clients and the new newborn session is no different. Of course, I have made changes in how I photograph clients currently- if you haven’t already, please take a look at the adjustments I am making for my photography sessions.
When photographing newborn sessions, the client’s safety has always been a top priority. Since the pandemic, I have put into place different protocols so that the newborn session is the safest it can be.
Of course the session looks a bit different:
- I’m not currently photographing in the client’s home, but instead, I am photographing outside your home or at a local outdoor space
- The newborn session will be timed to avoid peak times at parks
- I’m currently keeping my posing bag and swaddles at home
- I am wearing a mask during our time together
- I am photographing with my longer lenses to keep distance and will help direct the parents to pose the baby so I can remain touch-free
However we will still capture gorgeous images….
The new newborn session will still focus on authentic moments…
I am now directing the parents to do pose their little one so I am completely touch-free…
I also provide suggestions to clients as far as what to blankets/swaddles to bring.
This time is especially trying for expectant families and would love to chat more about your newborn photography session. I have found that the above safety measures work well, but am open to learning from you if you other ideas.
